In 2010, after I took voluntary redundancy from my last job, I decided to do what I wanted to do and I started helping out friends with their IT needs. I have a number of friends who run their own businesses and IT was and is becoming a major factor in their day to day business. My intention was to make this a business but I didn't apply myself properly!
I went to one of my friends houses and when I got there, the man of the house jokingly said that I was coming to 'jock it'! That, in his mind was the same as fixing it! And his punchline was if you want your technology fixed, you Jock IT! You know who you are Gary!
So, I decided to make a big effort in running my own business and I needed a name! Jock IT seemed to be the perfect choice!
